Wash Care

Thank you for choosing Ittra Tara. Each piece in our collection is a reflection of craftsmanship, heritage, and thoughtful design.

To help preserve the integrity, color, and beauty of your Ittra Tara garments, we recommend following the care guidelines below.

1. Hand wash separately in cold water for the first few washes

2. Soak in salt water for 10–15 minutes before first wash (helps fix color)

3. Do not soak for long durations

4. Use mild detergent only. Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals

5. Dry in shade. Avoid direct sunlight to preserve color vibrancy

6. Do not wring – gently squeeze water out and hang dry

7. Machine wash only on gentle cycle, if needed, with like colors

8. Iron on reverse side while damp for best finish

Due to the artisanal nature of handblock printing, slight irregularities in color and pattern are a natural part of the beauty of this craft.

Each Ittra Tara piece is carefully cut, stitched, and finished by skilled hands. Slight variations in fit, stitching, or finish are natural and reflect the human touch behind our process. They are not considered defects.

All products are photographed in natural light to closely represent the garment’s true color and texture. However, due to differences in screen resolution and lighting conditions, the color of the actual garment may vary slightly. A variation of up to 10 to 12 percent in color is considered normal.
